An U occurrence located in the SE¼ sec. 21 & sec. 22 (?), T4S, R27E, MDM, 6.9 km (4.3 miles) S of Mammoth Lakes (town), 0.7 km (2,200 feet) NE of Emerald Lake (coordinates of record) and 4.4 km (2.7 miles) S of Old Mammoth, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization occurs in glacial till or, more likely, in a talus apron (uranophane ?). Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 3 (Mojave Desert, Death Valley area, and Eastern Sierra Nevada).
