A reported Au occurrence located in the E½SE¼ sec. 27, T17N, R9E, MDM, 2.4 km (1.5 miles) ESE of Blue Tent (site). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Around 1900 an auriferous gravel crossed the land; land not mineral in character at present time (Division of Appeals, Bureau of Land Management).
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
