A former Cr occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 36, T14N, R10E & in the NW¼ sec. 6, T13N, R11E, MDM, 2.8 km (9,300 feet) SE of Foresthill, N of the Middle Fork American River, W of Volcano Canyon, on National Forest land. Owned by R. F. Craig & O. H. Jones (1918). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Both deposits are located in the corners of their respective sections.
Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface openings comprised of 2 pits with one at 12 feet and the other at 25 feet deep (1918).
