A Au occurrence located in sec. 24, T15N, R11E, MDM, 1.8 km (1.1 miles) ESE of Forks House, on private land within a National Forest area. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
NOTE: The topo map clearly has the Eureka tunnel as a named mine with an adit symbol in sec. 17 versus sec. 24 (at/near the Eureka Consolidated). There is only the Clara tunnel (with 2 adit symbols) in sec. 24, near the coordinates provided. Either the second, unnamed adit is the Eureka tunnel in sec. 24, and the topo map is in error, labeling the Eureka Consolidated as the Eureka tunnel, or, the Eureka tunnel is located in sec. 17 in proximity to the Eureka Consolidated.
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
