A former Cr occurrence/mine located in sec. 30, T14N, R11E, MDM, 1.2 km (0.7 mile) SE of Bath and 2.9 km (9,600 feet) ENE of Foresthill, in Volcano Canyon, on private land within a National Forest area. Operated by F. P. Bowers, E. W. Drummond & M. D. House. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. This is one of many localities placed into a very large area termed the "Forest Hill Divide area" by Rynearson.

Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of several short adits and small open pits.

Production data are found in: Rynearson, Garn Arthur (1953).

Production statistics: Year: 1918: Cr ore: grade = ^40% Cr2O3 (estimated).

Analytical data results: 43% Cr2O3.
