Location: Cobb (1972) shows this prospect--one of the two Feickert prospects on Nichols Bay--just north of the radio beacon on the east side of the mouth of Nichols Bay. It is in the NE1/4 section 3, T. 83 S, R. 89 E. The other Feickert prospect is what is now being called the Lucile prospect (DE050).
Geology: The rocks in the vicinity of this prospect are Silurian or Ordovician quartz monzonite and syenite (Gehrels, 1992). There has been little note taken of this prospect since Chapin first described it in 1918 as a chalcopyrite-bearing quartz vein in granite and quartz diorite. The vein is about one foot thick, strikes N50E, and is nearly vertical. There was some surface stripping on it in 1916.

Age: Quartz vein cuts Silurian or Ordovician quartz monzonite and syenite.
