Anorthoclase from
Norra Kärr, Gränna, Jönköping, Jönköping County, Sweden

Locality type:Complex
Classification
Species:Albite var: Anorthoclase
Formula:(Na,K)AlSi3O8
Comments:The occurrence of anorthoclase was discredited by Tilley (1953). The feldspars in the fine-grained matrix of the grennaite were instead determined to be subsolvus alkali feldspars albite and microcline. This is also confirmed by SEM-EDS analysis (Sjöqvist et al., 2013).
