Comments:"The eurite of Norwalk (525) abounds in minute but well-formed garnets." Sample 525: "Garnet. In very minute, red, transparent crystals, in eurite. Norwalk." Shepard (1837). Species is almost certainly almandine, which is the typical garnet species in Connecticut gneiss and schist.
