A former lode Au mine located in the NE¼ sec. 25, T3N, R25E (near the sec. 30, T3N, R26E line) and in the SE¼SW¼ sec. 30, T3N, R26E, MDM (adit symbols at both locations), 6.1 km (3.8 miles) NE of Copper Mountain, along Rattlesnake Gulch and on the divide between Rattlesnake Gulch and Bacon Gulch. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include unspecified underground openings. Apparently this mine had at least two adits separated by some distance along Rattlesnake Gulch.
