LocalitiesHighway 648 Ironside roadcut, Cardiff Township, Highlands East Township, Haliburton County, Ontario, Canada

Just wanted to add that this site appears to have had some widening work done to it this summer. I visited it with my friend Michael Adamowicz on the closing day of the Bancroft Gemboree (August 1, 2014) and I found a large Biotite piece along with some small Zircons. I also want to note that the site photos (taken in 2009) are no longer valid since there appears to have been road widening work done and the roadcut is different now. I hope to make some further trips there and work on the pegmatite on the other side. The waterfall still appears to be present although it seems to be hidden now.

The old site photos are still valid: They reflect the history of the site. If they are dated that provides adequate historical context.

I agree Keith that is valid for historical purposes but I believe we should try and get more current or modern photos of the site. Unfortunately I didn't take any on that day when I was there. The road was significantly widened compared to the photos. When I have a chance to go back there I will try and take some photos.

Is it possible to update these as being a historical photo and then they should show up in those category. Current photos will show as zero until loaded.

is this locality identical with Cardiff Lake Roadcut?

No they are not the same. I've added the coordinates so you can see the difference.
