Identity HelpUnusual witherite from cave in rock, illlinois

23rd Dec 2011 00:31 UTCRock man456

Here is an unusual big specimen of Witherite crystals stacked like flowers on one another with fluorite cubes in between them.

Has anybody ever seen Witherite in this formation from Cave in rock,Illinois before?

Thanks

Why witherite? Why not usual calcite?
