I build the same size trays myself now, but instead I keep specimen in their boxes, rather than take the trouble to build those wooden inserts. Too inflexible on spacing/storage anyway.

Often craft stores like Michaels or AC Moore have unfinished wood 12 section shadow boxes while flea markets sometimes have the print trays.

I have a typesetting one but it's a bit small and shallow for setting perky boxes.
Never thought to try knick knack or any term like that. Will check ebay. I have scene some on there. Some people call them wall curio I guess.
