Improving Mindat.orgErroneously uploaded photo for Bosco del Torno quarry, Piedmont

19th Oct 2015 18:14 UTCPaolo Bosio

MinID JYM-MFJ represents a diopside photo erroneously uploaded by the late Luigi Mattei for Bosco del Torno quarry, ...., Piedmont [http://www.mindat.org/loc-29098.html]. In fact, the photo, which shows a diopside crystal in association with epidote from one of the numerous rodingite occurrences in Piedmont, has been erroneously associated to Bosco del Torno quarry (a gneiss quarry). Therefore, this photo should be removed from this locality and transferred, in absence of further information, to the generic locality Piedmont.

Thanks, David (I hadn't checked "Advanced search" - hope I'll remember it).
