Improving Mindat.orgBorneo Island

They should be labeled as "Borneo" which is the formal name of the island.
Mindat localities for Tasmania do not say Tasmania Island.
Mindat localities for Sicily do not say Sicily Island.
Unless the word "island" is part of the formal title, like Prince Edward Island, Mindat should not use Island as part of the name. Same for Crete Island

Borneo is still Borneo.

What is more important is that Borneo is not just an island. While most of the island of Borneo belongs to Indonesia, the island also contains the country of Brunei and a small part that belongs to Malaysia (being the East Malaysian states of Sabah, Sarawak and the Federal Territory of Labuan which is off the coast of Borneo).
I agree that it is totally mislabelled to the extent that the word island is used.
I think that the two that are included in Mindat should simply remove the reference to island both after Borneo and after Kalimantan
Eg: Indonesia
Kalimantan (Borneo)
* Kalimantan Barat Province (West Kalimantan Province)
** Ibu prospect
** Kapuas River
The same for Malaysia
Malaysia
*Borneo
**Sabah
**Ranau
**Bongkud Cu-Au deposit
**Tuaran
**Mamut Mine
**Nungkok Cu-Mo deposit
I note that we only have one quarry under Brunei !! And of course there shouldn't be any Borneo as part if its name or sub-localities.
I also think that the name of Brunei should be Brunei Darussalam (which is what the UN calls the country).
Cheers
Keith
