Photo gallery Robert Lavinsky pages 3 nr 2 is not adamite but smithsonite.

Hi Marius,


Rob can probably give you an answer but I suspect the specimen may very well be Adamite if the locality is correct. I have myself seen aggregates of Adamite of this colour with very indistinct terminations making the surface look like Smithsonite from other Mexican localities. It would be easy to tell by turning the specimen looking at the structure of the aggregate.

Jou must look to the break.There ara a different break between adamite and smithsonite.Mij english is not so well,but I hope you understand it.I have ten years collected in attica(greece)Kameriza,km3,esperanza,chaos kitso and slag material from thorikos,pacha limani,vrissaki,legraina and characas.

Adamite for me too... Looks like typical cuproadamite from Kamareza.
