Generalhelp needed about ferberite and scheelite found at Wolfach

7th Dec 2007 16:19 UTCMichel Blondieau

Hello All,

On April 2007, I have found myself specimens of ferberite with scheelite at Wolfach (Germany).

I am surprised with these specimens and I suspect they are not from the Clara mine.

Perhaps I am wrong.

Is somebody able to say if it seems to be from Clara or not ?

Thanks for your help.

I have put a few pictures of these specimens on a page of my own website :

Ferberite and scheelite are not uncommon at the Clara mine.

Your photos show typical specimens.

might be monazite.

Thank you Uwe for your response.

I am happy to learn that it can be from the Clara mine.

In fact, it's perhaps not uncommon but for myself, I never have found it before and I never saw pictures of such minerals from Clara.

Thanks again for your help,

Michel
