Name:When heated it becomes phosphorescent
Italian synonym of:Baryte

It is a variety of barite found in nodular-fibrous or radial formations or concrections on the hills around Bologna (Emilia-Romagna) Italy, into “argille scagliose” formation. After heating with reducent substances (as coal) it becomes phosphorescent (because of impurities but probably for the formation of Ba Sulfide)
