Hydroxyl-fluorapatite

Synonym of:Apatite-(CaF)


An unnecssary varietal name for Apatite-(CaF) containing OH in relatively large amounts but less than the F content, includes Voelckerite in part.

Hydroxylian Apatite-(CaF) and fluorian Apatite-(CaOH), often with some CO3 content, constitute the majority of the crystallized apatites and the massive apatite rocks.
