UM1982-02-AsO:CuNiPd

A material that is NOT an approved mineral species
This page is currently not sponsored. Click here to sponsor this page.
Formula:
(Pd,Cu,Ni)18AsO4 · 4H2O
possible form
Colour:
dark grayish
Alteration product of 'UM1982-01-As:CuPd'. Said to be oxygen-bearing, but no information on the oxygen analysis is given (although it seems to be determined by microprobe). One of a few Pd-O species described; all of these are not approved by IMA. Compare, e.g., 'unnamed (Pd-Sb Oxide)' and 'palladinite'. If the formula is correct, it would be the first Pd arsenate mineral.
