2.7 x 2.3 x 0.4 cm (largest). A very beautiful, completely pyritized, fossilized ammonite from the Jurassic Period of Russia when dinosaurs roamed the earth, with the chambers clearly visible, and completely lined with pyrite microcrystals. Sliced and polished on one side to bring out the beauty. The chatoyant, pretty pastel-pink shell material on the outside is completely pyritized. This is the Middle Jurassic Quenstedticeras species. These came out about 10 years ago (~2000), with none since.
