Rhodochrosite

Locality: Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru

Very pretty and showy gem lustrous red double terminated scalenohedral crystals of rhodochrosite, the largest 1.7 cm in length, are set on matrix. The lower termination on the main crystal is cleaved as seen in the photos. Otherwise in great condition. The color, luster and aesthetics are wonderful. Size: 2.5 x 1.8 x 1.0 cm.
