Locality: Septemvri mine (Deveti Septemvri mine), Madan ore field, Rhodope Mts, Smolyan Oblast, Bulgaria

String of lustrous, metallic galena crystals running across 9 cm of yellowish calcite matrix. The galena crystals are cubic, with octahedral corner faces. No damage. Acquired in 1987 from H. Obodda. Ex. Dr. E. Sensel collection #M456. Overall size of mineral specimen: 11x7x4 cm. Size of individual crystals: 4-10 mm.
