The booklet we were give when we arrive for the 4th international Mindat conference listed the hike to the mine as: ” We will descend into the mine on foot, taking 25 minuets down and approximately 40 minuets back up.” In truth it was 2 hours hike in including a ride in the bed of a dump truck with copious amounts of mud and rain. The 2 hour hike out was not much different except it rained harder. Don’t get me wrong we had fantastic trip and this hike was one for the ages. ”
