My first ever specimen (J.Ralph collection 00001), a 2cm quartz crystal in a shistose matrix from a beach pebble on Tintagel beach. Specimen width 6cm. I found this when I was 6 years old - it started my interest in minerals, so mindat.org owes its existance to this pebble! In more recent times I discovered perfect little micro (sub 0.5mm) Anatase crystals throughout this piece!.
