This gem, sparkling, transparent anglesite cluster is an old friend to us, memorable after so many years. It was exhibited in several award winning cases including one that won the 1995 National Award in judged competition on the show circuit. It was from the collection of noted miniatures and thumbnail collector Carl Turner of Tucson in the 1990s and early 2000s, and then I bought that collection and sold this piece to Jack in 2005. These were originally discovered in the 1980s, in this style. Few enough specimens survived until now, and this is one of the best in size class for color, sharpness, condition, and transparency. The transparency is shocking in person. It is like a jewel, in fact. I have always remembered this one...Such specimens are simply not on the market anymore, and only come out of old collections - even then, rarely. Ex Jack Halpern Collection.
