Fan-shaped group of flattened prismatic Anhydrite crystals with fibrous parallel growths, good terminations, a satin luster and an excellent uniform azure-blue color. The anhydrite is partially coated on the front face by small scalenohedral Calcite crystals, and also around the entire perimeter, and with total coverage on the back of the piece. The locality is world famous for hosting vugs with some of the largest gypsum crystals ever found, of unmatched quality, size and transparency.
This specimen comes from the Rock Currier collection (no. 5206), whose label we will send to the buyer.
