Description
This is a showy, V-shaped cluster of two Prase Quartzes of superb quality. The larger (9.0 cm) translucent green prase Quartz crystal has a complex termination intergrown with and accented by thin plates of Calcite. The second prase Quartz cluster to 7.0 cm has several sharper tips, which have two micro dings. This is a very aesthetic display specimen with unusual translucency. It is also relatively unique. The association with Calcite is not common from Serifos. The trivial damage is very difficult to see because of the complex terminations, and does not affect the overall appearance and aesthetics of this impressive, Top quality specimen. My source in Greece tells me the zone is mined out, so specimens of this quality will not be around for long.
