A former underground Au mine. Production occurred prior to 1909.
NW to NNW-trending normal faulting and Tertiary flows strike NW and dip 30º to 40º NE, and overlie Precambrian granite and gneiss locally.
Ore concentration involved the original rhyolite porphyry ore enriched by thermal solutions accompanying later rhyolite flow eruption.
