A former surface and underground Mn-Ag mine located in the NE¼ sec. 1, T1N, R15E, 1 mile SW of Crash-up Mountain, and about 7 road miles N of Globe, on National Forest land. Discovered in 1875 and closed in 1955. These claims were held by Charles Campbell (1942). Owned by Mr. Charles C. Henderson (1954).
Mineralization is a vein deposit with ore in irregular pods hosted in diabase. The ore zone is 24.38 meters long, 4.57 meters wide, strikes N70E and dips 50NW. Manganese ore was confined to a zone that follows the hanging wall side of the vein. The better mineralized part of the vein has an exposed length of 80 feet or more.
Workings include a few small stopes extending short distances above the back of the adit. Additional work consisted of a few shallow cuts along the surface SW of the portal of the adit. The workings total 15.24 meters long and 7.62 meters deep.
