A former surface and underground Mn mine located in the SE¼SW¼ sec. 11 and in the NW¼NE¼ sec. 14, T1N, R15E, about 3 air miles NE of Globe near the ghost town of Copper Hill, on federal land. Discovered 1954. Owned by Mrs. E.A. Borge (1961). Formerly part of the group of claims belonging to the Superior and Boston Mining Co. NOTE: Alternate coordinates provided: 33.4408N, 110.7461W.
Mineralization is a replacement deposit with ore in pods hosted in the Mescal Limestone. The ore zone is 45.72 meters long, 1.83 meters thick, strikes E-W and dips 30S. Associated rock units include diabase and andesite.
Workings consist of an adit and three short open cuts, totaling 4.57 meters in length and 3.66 meters deep.
