¼ mile east of Buttspill the mine was opened on a new lead discovery in 1846.
In 1851 it was reopened as North Tamar Consols but abandoned in 1855
Said to have returned both lead and copper on an east-west lode. This may have been the site of Wheal Jenny (SX 450 673) worked very briefly in 1915 when it was found that the old men had removed all the lead ore.
