Ref.: Rocks & Min.: 63: 40 & 49. A gemstone and specimen mine started and closed in 1967 (mined out in a few months). This mine produced 3,300 lbs (1,500 kg) of the finest aquamarine crystals ever found, including the 4,500 carat "Pioneer" aquamarine.
