Ref.: New York State Museum Bull. 223,224, Newland, David H. (July-August 1919), The Mineral Resources of the State of New York: 212. A pyrite mine located 1 mile North of Hermon. Owned by the St Lawrence Pyrites Co. from 1905 onward. Ore was in the Stella vein of 10 to 12 feet thick. Workings were to 900 feet on incline and 1100 along strike; Anna shaft was 600 feet deep.
