Old quarry.

Vápenka is a nature reserve in the north of the Czech Republic, in the Ústí nad Labem region, in the eastern part of the Děčín district, southwest of the town of Krásná Lípa. It is located in the Protected Landscape Area of the Lusatian Mountains. The subject of protection is the species-rich forest of flowering beeches, which grow on Jurassic limestones on the southern slope of Vápenný vrch.

This geologically unique area lies on the Lusatian crossing, where the granite rocks of the Lusatian pluton, Cretaceous sandstone and small crustal Jurassic and Permian rocks, which have been penetrated by basaltic volcanics in the Tertiary, meet. In the territory of the reservation, there was a unique contact of all geological units occurring in northern Bohemia.
