Abandoned limestone quarry in a bluish to brown grey, fine-grained limestone.
Quarries north and south of the road have been worked at intervals from 1890 to 1927. Stone used for structural purposes.
The piers of the South Shore bridge and Victoria bridge at Montreal were constructed of this stone (Goudge, 1938).
