Gold locality. Aluvial deposits in local stream beds near the bourogh of Delta in the southeastern corner of York County (Peachbottom Township). One of the first areas explored by Donald Schmerling in search of reported native Gold in Pennsylvania. Streams North to Muddy Creek, East near Peachbottom slate quarries and West to Constituition have been found to contain gold (disseminated flakes to about 0.30 inches).
