An U occurrence/mine located in approximate SW¼ sec. 11, T40N, R19E, G&SRM, 4.1 km (2.5 miles) E of Boot Mesa (coordinates of record). Geographic coordinates provided are for the center of the section.

An U deposit hosted in a paleochannel trending N40W, of conglomerate of the Shinarump Member of the Morrison Formation. Ore is uraninite. The mineralized zone is about 5 feet thick and between 150 to 200 feet beneath the surface.

Workings included in excess of 70 drill holes during the period 1955 to 1961.

Production was 6,769 tons of ore at 0.19% U308 (1965-1966).

Analytical results: 0.10-0.20% U308.

Description: Unconsolidated to strongly consolidated alluvial and eolian deposits. This unit includes: coarse, poorly sorted alluvial fan and terrace deposits on middle and upper piedmonts and along large drainages; sand, silt and clay on alluvial plains and playas; and wind-blown sand deposits. (0-2 Ma)
