A former small surface and underground Cu-Pb-Ag-Au mine located in the NW ¼ sec. 5 and the NE ¼ sec. 6, T.24S., R.21E, approximately 9 miles SW of Hereford. Produced 1934-1935. Owned by the Lucy Bell Mining Co. Operated by Frank J. Wasser (1934-35).
Mineralization is small, irregular replacement masses of partly oxidized base metal sulfides in exotic blocks of Paleozoic limestone in Triassic-Jurassic volcanics.
Workings include a shaft and tunnels. About 15 tons of ore were produced in 1934-1935.
