Sebilo mine is located on Perth farm 276. The mine is located on 160 ha portion out of 1978 ha total of Perth farm. The mine is opencast and underground and has integrated into it's operations the old open pit of the historic Perth mine.

Sebilo Resources (Pty) Ltd. (Fig. 1A) operates a relatively new open-cast manganese mine (‘‘Sebilo’’) that is currently mining the lowermost of three
sedimentary manganese ore beds of the Hotazel Formation. The Sebilo mine is one of several open cast manganese mines currently exploiting the lower
manganese ore bed of the Paleoproterozoic Hotazel Formation of the Transvaal Supergroup in the Northern Cape province, South Africa (Fig. 1A), a
chemosedimentary sequence of three manganese ore beds intercalated with a banded iron formation. Extract from Vafeas et al (2018)
