Puits Basse Villes


The very old "Basse Villes No. 1" shaft was mainly used for the drainage of underground works. The original wooden headframe was replaced by a concrete headframe in the 1930s. In the first half of the 1970s, the shaft was insulated and shut down, while the headframe remained until the 1990s.
