Eisenerzgruben Diersburg - Zunsweier
Different ancient iron mines, located in the forests around Diersburg and Zunsweier.
A vein tract with different metalliferous lodes, siderite and limonite. The mining industry here is very old, probably during Roman times and stopped in the 20th. century.
The most important mines in this area: Staubenköpfle mine, Ettengraben mine, Nächstenbach mine, Diersburg mine, Rauher Bühl mine ( fluorite ) and others. This mining locations are difficult to observe inside the forest.
Berghaupten coal mining area is not far away from here.
