The Fazenda Concórdia pegmatite (part of the Eastern Pegmatitic Province of Brazil), sometimes referred to as Mimoso do Sul mine or Concordia claim, is located ca. 9.5 km WSW of Mimoso do Sul.

The main pegmatite body, which is embedded in diorite and irregularly distributed in a ca. 300-m-long and 200-m-wide area, has a main NW-SE direction and shows a simple zoning. Peculiar characteristics of the intermediate zone, consisting of a coarse-grained quartz-plagioclase-muscovite rock intercalated with a more fine-grained rock of the same composition and an aplite, are the presence of large zoned K feldspar crystals and an area in which feldspars are strongly altered (kaolinized).

From a mineralogical point of view, the main components of this pegmatite are quartz, K feldspar (microcline or orthoclase), albite and muscovite; the main accessories are a black tourmaline (schorl), beryl var. aquamarine, and colourless topaz (Costa et al., 2020).
