A former U-V occurrence/mine located in approximate SE¼ sec. 2, T35N, R22E, and in the SW¼ sec. 6, T35N, R23E, G&SRM, 6.9 km (4.3 miles) about 4½ miles NNW of Rough Rock and 0.8 miles NW of Burro Springs. T&R values are not presented for this location.
Mineralization is tyuyamunite and metahewettite with clay in pods hosted in Late Cretaceous sandstone. Tyuyamunite occurs replacing logs in
the Salt Wash member sandstone. Local rocks include rocks of the Morrison Formation.
Workings include surface openings comprised of open pits and a few hundred feet of scattered rim stripping; 70 holes drilled.
Production was 64 tons of ore @ 1.01% U3O8; 0.04% V2O5 (1952 & 1956-1958).
