A former lode Au mine located in sec. 21, T6N, R11E, MDM, 1.4 km (0.8 mile) N of Jackson and 2.1 km (1.3 miles) ESE of Martell, E of Oneida Creek and North Main Street, on private land. Owned by Mark Eudey (1953). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

This mine was developed by the Bellwether Mining Co. between 1895 and 1900. The claim was later bought by the Kennedy Mining Co. and is included with the holdings of that mine.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in greenstone and schist. The ore body is 25.91 meters thick. The vein was reported to be 85 feet thick. Free Au is commonly associated with sulfides. The wide vein is on the E or hanging wall branch of the Mother Lode and carries ore similar to that of the Zeila Mine, on the S. The geologic description is brief. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 85.34 meters. Several shallow shafts as deep as 180 feet were sunk. Later development included a 320 foot inclined shaft with crosscuts and drifts.

Analytical data results: Assay of sulfides indicated $80 to $140 (period values) per ton.
