A former placer Au-Ag occurrence located in sec. 34, T8N, R12E, MDM, about 7.3 km N of Volcano, just S of the South Fork Consumnes River (El Dorado County line). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

NOTE: The USGS MRDS database presents geographic coordinates placing this locality in El Dorado County (38°38'43"N, 120°38'29"W). Research of the coordinates for sec. 34, T8N, R12E, MDM, revealed that there was an error in the minutes value of the latitude.

Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
