A former Cr-PGE (Ru-Rh-Ir-Pt-Pd) mine located 0.2 km (800 feet) NE of Gordon Mountain (coordinates of record).

Mineralization is a Cr-PGE deposit (Deposit model: 15: Podiform chromite (minor)), hosted in dunite.

Local structures include strong shearine, striking N35W and dipping 75NE, and hosts the ore.

Related tectonic structures include the Klamath Mountains Accreted Terrane.
