A former crushed stone quarry located in the N½ sec. 36, T1N, R2W, MDM, 3.1 km (1.9 miles) ESE of Walnut Creek, along the western foot of Shell Ridge. Operated by F. A. Marshall, Danville. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Fill material produced in 1947-1948. Inactive in 1958.
Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 4 (Berkeley Hills).
Workings include surface openings comprised of a quarry operation. Rock was loosened by blasting and bulldozed to a portable crusher.
