A Au occurrence/mine located in the N½NE¼ & SW¼NE¼ sec. 35, T29N, R11E, MDM, 2.4 km (7,800 feet) NNW of Diamond Mountain, E of Gold Run Creek. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Cuts show a fractured, ochre-stained quartz and silicified wallrock breccia. The walls are composed of medium- to fine-grained hornblende-quartz diorite. The shaft area is a gossan that is composed mainly of limonite, decomposed feldspar and sericite. A black oxide shows at depth. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of surface cuts and a 90 foot deep shaft.
