A placer Au occurrence located in sec. 4, T28N, R11E, MDM, 4.6 km (2.9 miles) W of Diamond Mountain, in the headwaters of Gold Run Creek, on National Forest land. Deposits also occur in parts of secs. 1-7. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is deposits of auriferous gravels. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 5 (Northern Sierra Nevada and Eastern Klamath Mountains).
