A former lode Au-As occurrence/prospect/mine located in the W½W½NW¼ sec. 33, T8S, R21E, MDM, 0.4 km (1,300 feet) NNW of Quartz Mountain (1) (coordinates of record), on both patented (private) and unpatented land. Property was comprised of several claims, some patented. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granite and slate. The ore body is 3.05 meters thick with one ore shoot 500 feet long. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 33.53 meters and comprised of an incline. There qwas also a 60-stamp stamp mill on site.
Said to have yielded some rich pockets.
